So this Saturday (29th August), we head over the Wyre to sample the pubs in that part of the branch area. We'll start in Knott End or Fleetwood; the choice is yours!

Those with dodgy sea legs can catch the 5c to Knott End for 13:00.

Those heading to Fleetwood should meet in the Steamer around noon, before we head for the 12:45 sailing of the Wyre Rose, the mighty Knott End ferry. Remember, it's £2.50, cash only, no concessions, so please bring the right change if possible.

Once we get to Knott End, the plan is to stroll the 100 yards or so to the Bourne Arms for about 13:00. However, we've heard there may be some issues at the Bourne, and there is a possibility it might not be open. If that's the case, Plan B is to meet at Knott End Sports & Social Club, just off Salisbury Avenue behind the Millennium Clock.

From there, we'll head back towards Blackpool. We'll visit the Squash and then, catching the regular 5C bus, stop in Preesall at the Black Bull, Stalmine at the Seven Stars and Hambleton at the Ryecroft and Shovels, before heading to Poulton, where more beer can be sampled, or people can head their way home.

Those who have never been on our trips should look for the incredibly handsome chap wearing the bottle-green CAMRA-logoed polo shirt. Beer goggles are great, aren't they! We look forward to seeing you.
